Here are some questions you might be asking about how we use your data.

PLAYdates and other PLAY Polarities Events

How do you use my name and email when I sign up for an event?

We may email you before the event with event-related content and may email you afterward in connection with that event. Someone from our team may attempt to contact you occasionally (email, try to connect on social media, text, or call) to introduce the PLAY Polarities and talk further about our programs. However, unless you answer affirmatively to a question offering to add you to our email list, you should not be signed up for our newsletter and other wide-distribution emails.

Do you record the session? What will you do with my image or likeness?

Having your screen/video on during a PLAY Polarities event as implied consent to be recorded. We will from time to time take snippets, screen captures, etc. from our recordings for educational and promotional purposes online. Your host will always try to make clear when recording is taking place; when in Zoom, you can expect to see a red recording light in the Zoom window.

What if I hate your above two answers?

Many of our events are complimentary, so leveraging them for promotional purposes is important to us. However, when individuals have special needs for their safety, mental health, etc. that makes unplanned contact or being recorded especially upsetting, we want to help. Please email us to let us know what event you plan to attend and what would make you more comfortable.
